Getting to know you

During the past two and a half weeks we have had the privilege of getting to know Eliza. As the newest member of our family she is teaching Dylan and I quite a bit. She teaches us how to love, share, sacrifice and laugh. It is certainly a privilege for us to be her parents and we are trying to be worthy of this perfect baby we have received.

I think you could call the first two weeks of parenthood "Baby Boot Camp" or "Baby Basics 101". During this time period we have changed approximately 132 diapers (76 wet and 56 poopy - but who's counting) and probably said just as many prayers that she would stay asleep during the nighttime.

Most importantly little Eliza is growing. She is gaining weight and becoming more alert by the day. She loves it when we take her on walks and she is beginning to sleep more at night. Here are a few pictures of Eliza at home.
