Planting Progress

This year we have our first bona fide garden! In years past we've always had to plant in containers due to our renters status. With land of our own, we planted in the backyard terraces. Dylan and Richard did so much work cleaning up the area and tilling the ground. Eliza and I had a much easier job of planting.

Apparently, she decided to try a taste of dirt!

Since Dad has a shovel, Eliza wanted one her size. Ezra was trying to get a good
look at what was going on!

Ezra was a champ hanging out on Dad's back while we worked.
Now the real challenge will be to actually have a harvest!  We have a great start because the morning after planting Eliza woke up and the first thing she said was "I need to check on my plants!"  Watering the plants and soaking her clothes in the process is one of her favorite things to do.
