Before parenthood, I thought birthdays were about partying with family and friends. A birthday is "your" day to do all the things you love to do. I still believe that birthdays are for fun, but they are so much more. When I think about Eliza's birthday I actually think about the miraculous day that she entered the world. It was one of the most spiritual and uplifting moments of my life. I love her birthday because it reminds me of how precious life really is. Sadly, I don't have that kind of memory about my own brithday, but I can imagine now...so I try to remember to always thank my Mom on my birthday.
Our sweet Eliza came into the world at 4:40am on June 27th 2009. A small package of perfection.
Now as a bonafied two year old she brings even more to our family. She brings her own little smiles and laughter.
We celebrated her birthday in Cochran, so all of her cousins and family could come. We went swimming because she is a little fish that loves the water and then went to Momma Dee and Papa's house to have lunch and birthday cake. (A BIG THANK YOU TO BUDDY M. FOR LETTING US USE ThE POOL, MOMMA DEE FOR HOSTING, PAPA AND FOR COOKING HIS FAMOUS CHICKEN...HE WAS SO BUSY WE DIDN'T EVEN GET A PICTURE OF HIM!) We are so grateful for such a kind, smart and beautiful daughter. She can instantly make her mom happy with her smile and laughter!
