Its Great to be a Great!

Eliza has now meet all her living Great Grandmothers.  That's pretty awesome considering that some are pretty spread out.  Jean Sorensen lives in Idaho, Mary Shumack resides in Hawaii, Merna Johnson's home is in Utah (but they are living in Thailand right now) and Carolyn Kroesser and Ellen Davis live in Georgia. Generally speaking you only have four, but our family is extra blessed to have six.

Eliza met Jean and Mary within the past month since they both flew into Georgia.  Here are pictures of her meetings with them.

Can I just say that I'm hoping for the wonderful aging genetics from my Mom and Mary!  Below are the pictures of Eliza with Great Grandma Merna when we went to Utah to visit them before they moved to Thailand.

Christmas time brought more opportunities to go back home and visit with her Great Grandmothers that live here in Georgia.

Eliza never got to meet her Great Grandmother Erma Jean Bates Kroesser.  She will have to rely on stories from me and her Momma Dee.  I'll be sure to tell her about Grandma Jean watching the Georgia Bulldogs on TV, while listening to Larry Munson on her head phones and a can of Dr. Pepper by her side.  She would be proud to know that when we all yell "GOOOO DAWGS" that Eliza barks with the best of them!  I'll have to tell Eliza about her living with our family while she battled cancer and the memorable and peaceful December evening that I saw her last.  My Mom will have to tell her about her mother and they sacrifices she made for her family...and we'll all wait and see the book that my Aunt Susan will write about her someday. :)

To all of Eliza's Greats, thank you for being part of her life.  All of you six beautiful women play a part in her life and history, just as you have in mine.  We love you!

It's awesome that Eliza has so many Great Grandmas still alive! And even better that you have pictures with all of them!
