Eliza's Lullaby

Uncle Nathan and Uncle Val composed a beautiful lullaby for Eliza and sang it to her while we were in Leesburg visiting for the holidays. She really enjoyed listening to the boys play. What great uncles she has! Eliza loves listening to her song.

Here are the lyrics:

Close your eyes
the day is done, you've almost fallen asleep
and I, I haven't slept a wink
Angel face
you've flown from heaven as an answer to my prayers
I wish, you could know how much I care

Here is my bedside lullaby
Hush now don't you cry
I'll be here at morning light
Goodnight is never goodbye

Shooting stars
fly like fairies from the sky, will they collide
Will I, be granted a wish tonight
Oh I wish,
as you fall asleep smiling sweet that you feel our love is near
oh Eliza, your're so loved her

The night may be long my little dear
but I'll be here
I'll be here
