Life is good! Everything seems to be going good right now. Renee just got better, she was under the weather for a couple of days. She started out with a sore throat, (she claims it was from the cold) and it progressed to congestion in her chest. On friday we went to the UGA health clinic, and they gave her a perscription for it. We really liked the service at the clinic, they were very nice and timely. Later that night we went to Josh and Sean's apartment, they had invited us over for dinner. (they wanted to one-up our meal). Honestly I still think ours was better. It's hard to top Renee's egg rolls. They put up a fight though. Josh made an incredible spinach salad, then we had wheat pasta with broccoli and chicken with some kind of josue sauce. We also had fun playing along in their musical stomp-like band. They played on everything from the "wine" bottle we drank for dinner, table legs, chairs, and even the love sac. My illustrius duty was the shaker, then I couldnt get that down and was demoted to the empty pretzel jar, only to be demoted once again to just clapping my hands, and uttering random vocal chants. It was a lot of fun. Also Josh and Phil treated Renee and I to an unforgettable experience of the drum massage. They played drum beats on our backs, it was actually very relaxing! Josh missed a couple of times and hit my butt. We finished up the night with a rousing game of Taboo. The team of roommates beat the team of the ingaged.
Saterday was fun. To sum up...I spent the morning in the apartment. The Johnsons came down and brought the new washer and dryer, Woohoo! And we moved out the old dresser and dest that we decided we didnt want. Then I went and got some sandwich stuff and headed to the intramural fields to watch the Rugby game. Renee took her lunchbreak and we ate a sandwich together and took in some Rugby before she had to go back. We won! 7-6 georgia tech goes down again. Honestly their team played better, and should have won, somehow we survived. Sean scored the only Tri for our team, it was all him too. He intercepted a bad pass, ran over three guys and put it down right in the middle of the uprights. After the game, Nathan and I went over to the Georgia Center, where after standing in line for an hour we got to go in and watch Jimmy Carter answer questions in his Town Hall meeting. It was great! I left early and went and set up a bank account in Renee's bank. Apparantly I missed the best part. President Carter at the end told a story of peace treaties with Israel, where he prayed for guidance and it helped him to keep the Israli minister there to complete the treaty.
That catches us up to Sunday. Sunday was long, but it was great. Lots of spiritual renewal. I felt like everything is finally kinda coming together in Elders Quorum. I went hometeaching and later BOM class, I didnt get done till 10:00, then I went and read with Renee.
Lots of good stuff. Now its back to classes like normal, maybe this week ill get motevated and start doing all my schoolwork. Thats all for now.
